T.OT.A. is an all volunteer charity that has been providing food, clothes
and shelter to needy families and individuals in the San Francisco Bay
area for thirty eight years.
All year round, T.O.T.A. delivers nutritious food boxes right into
the arms of the recipients, six days a week, rain or shine. During
the holidays, special food boxes, each containing a turkey or ham plus
all the trimmings for an abundant and festive holiday meal, are also
distributed. Thousands of toys are delivered to children at Christmas.
T.O.T.A. also provides transitional housing for individuals and families
at no charge, allowing them to take a break from the financial pressures
of life while they get back on their feet. Since the inception of the
program, many hundreds of families and individuals have taken advantage of
the program and have succeeded at accomplishing everything from finding
jobs and job training to acquiring places to live where they can provide
a stable and nurturing environment for their families.
T.O.T.A. is a nonprofit, tax exempt public charity as defined in Section
501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
Fund-a-Need
T.O.T.A. is renovating the interior of a small building to be used in its
transitional housing program. We are seeking $25,000 in contributions
to transform the building from an empty shell into a home for one or
two needy families. Your contribution, which is 100% tax deductible,
will provide bathroom fixtures, kitchen appliances, windows, doors,
flooring, furnishings, etc. We have volunteers ready to start the work!
